Lara Tabet: An Imperishable Icon for the Modern Woman

So much has changed for women’s power in last few decades. Today’s woman is a self-reliant and self-assured individual who knows she does not lags behind men in any field of work. Nor does she come up short to any creative challenge that the world can throw at her. Lara Tabet, a hospitality manager is one of these exemplary women.

Hailing originally from the cedar-covered slopes of beautiful Lebanon, Lara Tabet grew up in dazzling Dubai. Under the watchful tutelage her father, a successful owner of several high-quality hotels like G. Hospitality, she learned the ropes of the hospitality industry. Inspired by his example, she started working for her father once she graduated from the University of Switzerland.

Now after 25 years of marriage and raising two lovely sons of age 19 and 20, she works as a Business Development Manager at G. Hospitability, as well as occasionally serving as a presenter a speaker or Arab councils as a fashion ambassador. In olden times, most people would have balked at the idea of assuming so much responsibility. Lara’s unlimited reserves of energy and willpower are truly an inspiration to other women to push their limits further.

Her adventures in the world of television presenting began when she received a casting call for a new English language channel in Dubai in the year 2000. Her many successful shows familiarized the adoring public with her talents her endearing personality.  She presented for many prestigious events such as the ATP tennis championship, the Dubai World Cup, the International Film Festival and many other high-profile events. If that wasn’t enough, she also went on to conduct personal interviews of great celebrities like Morgan Freeman and many others.

It is her undying love and dedication to her work that carries her to attain success after success. Many in her social circle consider her greatest strength to be her unshakeable optimism in the world and her work, which allows her to fully cherish and enjoy every aspect of it.

But it is her skill at time management which most impresses the casual observer of her work. In one of her interviews she said that she is an early-riser who leaves for office at 7 o’ clock in the morning and upon reaching her office, plans her day through emails and phone calls. She then plans out her entire work week. She elaborates, “So principally, I arrange my meetings for the whole week. I am a really organized individual—a quality I inherited from my father.” Once she has planned the day’s meetings she conducts them in her office. That is the secret of her awe-inspiring achievements.

Aside from work, she is known as a wonderful loving mother who loved to pick and drop her children to school just like an ordinary every day mother. She did not consider herself above the daily mundane tasks of family management. She goes out of her way to schedule at least one meal with her family and she adheres to this practice religiously. Thankfully she is also married to a wonderful and supportive husband, who has played a crucial role in allowing Lara to successfully manage her personal and professional life.

Charity is one of the many ways that Lara feels she can give back to society some of the bounties that she has received. In her charitable work, she carries herself with an attitude of humility and genuine gratitude.
