Why did you choose Dubai for building your career?

The greatest inspiration is the quality of life Dubai offers. Dubai is a fantastic place for entrepreneurs. It has something for everyone, actually, a place you can grow your business and raise a child all at the same time. It certainly supports innovation 100% and the support to materialize dreams is 200%. I chose it for the variety of possibilities it offers to literally everybody.

Tell us about your business:

I have a passion for creativity. It makes me happy. Through my branding and marketing company other entrepreneurs can form deeper personal connections with the brands that they have aspired to build. My business is to help other businesses grow and thrive by finding their focal points that make these brands unique. I also manage networking communities that help people connect for common interests and business gains.

The communities under YesGulf are growing faster through interesting and interactive events held in different venues in Dubai. The major purpose of these networking events is to allow businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals to form meaningful business connections to ensure progress.

What is the major goal you have set?

My major goal is to vigorously form a bridge that connects people with shared interests, passions, and ideas. This goal is at the basis of YesGulf and has worked to connect people from diverse backgrounds and industries for lasting relationships – be it social, professional or personal. I am glad it has been working very well!

What challenges you have faced in your business?

Setting up a digital branding business is not an easy task and I did not have to stop there, I had to take marketing to the next level therefore, I decided to build on the idea of networking community that will foster public interests and allow other businesses to connect with each other. Setting it all up into phases was quite a challenge but I am glad the process has taught me a lot and has made me a stronger person.

Secondly, as a young founder and mom, thinking you can manage everything is a recipe for failure. Therefore, obviously there was a lot of support from all family members when I started. Balancing family time and work has been bit of a challenge.

What is your advice for businesses?

Innovate, think anew, and bring in fresh ideas as often as is possible. Remember, if a business will not transform and evolve according to the needs of time it will stop to exist soon.

How do you push yourself in worst and bad times?

I never stop trying. I test multiple solutions and believe in trial and error. I am never afraid of challenges and tough times cannot make me lose sleep. Each day has its own challenges you need to find a way to become effective and productive. To me success is incremental I become invigorated by new challenges.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

“Be Passion Driven”, if you don’t have the passion and commitment you will achieve nothing. Moreover, just start. Stop procrastinating. There is no time when circumstances will be perfect. When starting out be selective whom you trust because of murky waters in business.

If you could move to a place in the world, where would you choose?

Mauritius it is peaceful and lovely. The combination of cuisines and lovely landscape attracts me.

The advice you would give yourself?

Always look ahead, never care for yesterday!

A super power that you wish you had?

The power to read people’s minds.

What has been the most important learning experience in your life?

Setting up my business and then helping it grow. It made me understand myself and my aspirations better. It also pruned me into a more competitive and bold person.

The most important lesson in your life that you want to share?

Nothing great comes from a comfort zone. Find happiness in the thing you love doing most. You have to make a conscious effort to succeed. Make the best out of the time you have, it is the greatest asset you ever have. I chose a more integrated approach to work and family. Considering the fact that an entrepreneur spends considerable amount of time working, taking care of my family including my little child was crucial.
