Dr. Mariam Shaikh is a highly esteemed professional in the field of Education, based in the UAE, with an impressive track record spanning over 35 years. Dr. Shaikh possesses a wide range of expertise, encompassing areas such as Student Recruitment, Marketing, Strategic Development, International Relations, and Student Experience.
“It all began in the early 1980s when I founded a nursery school in the UAE. As the years went by, my career path led me to assume the role of Principal in a prominent school group. Here, I spearheaded the expansion of the institution, transforming it into one of the largest Asian schools in the UAE, boasting an enrollment of over 7000 students.”
Dr. Mariam Shaikh transitioned to the Higher Education Sector. She played a pivotal role in establishing prestigious foreign University branch campuses in the UAE, including the University of New Brunswick in Dubai. Her outstanding achievements have been duly recognized, with honors including the Global Excellence in Education 2021, GCC Woman Leadership Award 2019, and the Lifetime Achievement Award 2020, among others, adorning her illustrious career.
In 2020, Dr. Mariam Shaikh realized a lifelong aspiration by founding MS Education Consultants. With a distinct vision driving her, she established the consultancy to provide tailored education services aimed at meeting the dynamic needs of both students and educational institutions. In 2021, Dr. Mariam was appointed as the Middle East Strategist for the University of Guelph (Top 5 Comprehensive Universities in Canada) which was a highly successful project leading to her being appointed as the Regional Recruitment Representative for Toronto Metropolitan University (previously known as Ryerson University – Ranked #2 in Student Services) in 2023.
